We shot Dara’s Bridal in the park on Saturday.  The next day I met up with Dara and Ian for their Engagement session in the French Quarter.   These two make such a cute couple !   I had asked Dara if they enjoyed doing anything together or did they have any hobbies they may want to incorporate into their pictures – she said they enjoy FOOD!  While we were walking in the French Quarter, they wanted to stop in at a local shop for some gelato- those turned out to be some of my favorite shots of the day.

Jenna and Brody (and Jenna’s mom) drove up from Pine Prairie for their engagement session last Friday.  That’s a long drive, and I even think Jenna went to Lafayette that morning for a salon appointment.  We had a long session around town and even drove up to Columbia and back again to finish up.  As I pulled into my driveway after sundown,  I was thinking- “Man I am tired!”  How shallow right? Since- I had a 5 minute drive home.  That was nothing compared to these guys!    I hope they feel the trip was worth it- and I have been super excited about Jenna’s bridal which are later this month.  Can not wait!

Keri and Matt got married on October 24th- which is over a month ago, I know!   I have 4 weddings in the last few months that I have also neglected to blog.   I did a Christmas card for Keri and just realized that I am totally crazy about her wedding!  It’s the type of wedding I would have myself and besides, these two are really great people.   Not only is she totally gorgeous,(and Matt could be a bit of eye candy himself), she has that type of friendly, bubbly personality that makes people want to get to know her.  Their wedding was laid back and fun, not too fussy and with a setting like Hill Country, her images turned out fantastically!   

I have been a facebook junkie lately.  Look me up on facebook!   It occurred to me that I had yet again, forsaken the blog.  I am here to correct that!

Ms. Megan is getting married next month- like less than a month!  Better get that Bridal image ordered!  So to help her out-  I thought I would post a few of my faves!

 This is Ashley and TC’s engagements.  Sadly, the wedding won’t be making it to the blog.  They are getting married in Mexico.  I told Ashley that I am always open for destination weddings- and she can still “persuade” me to go if she wants. 

All Ashley asked me for was green grass and sunflare-  I think  I delivered!  

Right before we were getting ready to leave, the setting sun shot two shafts of light across the field.  Perfect amount of haze!!  I love the highlighted grass as well- they are standing in that long stream of sunlight.

As much as I dearly love color and the color of those shots above.  I think the black and white looks just as well.  Let’s the emotion speak and not the color…

Since I dragging behind- I thought I would finally post those bridals I teased about last week.

Just a few today- I am out the door for another round of dance pictures.   I am crazy busy this month, Thank you God.  I never want to complain about being so busy, even when I am tired and staying up until 1 or 2 am.  If anything, I am just so in awe of how God blesses and takes care of us.   Case in point- Recession.  Everywhere you hear gloom and doom and bad news.    Admittedly, I was scared.  I even was contemplating trying to get a teaching spot for the fall- to have a guaranteed income.    So I prayed, send up a prayer for guidance.    Thank you God for blessing me with lots of steady work!  So much so, that I am not taking any further appointments for the month of April (newborn babies excluded!!!!)    I am also booked up every weekend in May, but open for weekday spots beginning May 11th.
